New version of a Prague fruit and vegetable e-shop: a cart built from a budget and a regular-delivery enquiry for companies.
Atojepecka.cz is a fruit and vegetable e-shop with delivery across Prague and the surrounding area. An office that wants a bowl of fruit in its kitchen does not care whether it gets Royal Gala or Golden apples. It cares how much to spend per week and who will place the order. A household, on the other hand, wants a specific kilo of tomatoes and bananas for tomorrow. Atojepecka.cz serves both groups with one shop: besides fruit and vegetables it delivers mushrooms, herbs, nuts and honey, and according to its own website it has been supplying companies since 2008. For the new version of the shop we built the catalogue, the cart and, above all, two routes for companies that do not want to pick goods item by item.
A company starts with an amount, not a shopping list
A grocery shop usually assumes a customer who knows what they want and browses the catalogue. A company order, though, often starts with the sentence "we have two thousand a week for fruit". Building a cart from that by hand means going through dozens of items and watching the total. The other option is to email the shop and wait for an offer. Atojepecka.cz offers both in a shorter form: a suggested cart right on the website, and an enquiry filled in by clicking, from which the shop prepares an offer without further questions.
What the website gives customers
A cart built from a budget
On the "Závoz podle rozpočtu" (delivery by budget) page, the customer enters an amount or picks a preset from 1,000 to 5,000 CZK and marks what the delivery should contain: fruit, vegetables, dried fruit and nuts. The website immediately suggests a cart from goods in stock. Items carry a "Právě v sezóně" (in season now) label or the share of offices that order the item; for bananas it was 79 % when we checked. Quantities can be changed, and an item can be swapped for another, locked or removed. The "Navrhnout jinak" (suggest again) button builds a new suggestion and keeps the locked items in it. Another recommended product, or a specific item from the catalogue, is added with a button below the list.
The right column shows the running total, the remaining budget, the number of items with their approximate weight and the delivery price. One button puts the finished suggestion into the cart, and from there it is a normal order.

A regular delivery enquiry in a few clicks
Anyone who wants regular deliveries fills in the wizard on the "Zásobování kanceláří a podniků" (supplying offices and businesses) page. They answer by choosing from options: how many people (from "up to 10 people" to "more than 100"), how many times a week, the rough budget per delivery, which days suit them, what the delivery should contain and what to watch out for. The company name and contact come only in the last step. The shop receives an enquiry with everything it needs for a proposal, and the customer does not have to write a long email or call. The website states that the enquiry is non-binding and that a proposed selection with a price calculation comes by email.

Prices with and without VAT
The product page shows the price with and without VAT, and for discounted goods the original price and the date the offer ends. A company does not have to recalculate its costs. For companies the website offers payment by invoice with a due date; households pay cash on delivery or by bank transfer.

Delivery cost known in advance
The "Doprava a platba" (delivery and payment) page says what delivery costs: 99 CZK within Prague, free above 1,500 CZK, and outside Prague, up to 10 km beyond the city boundary, 99 CZK plus 15 CZK per kilometre. The worked example for Jesenice comes to 159 CZK. Orders placed by 10:00 arrive the next working day by 16:00, later orders a day after that. An OpenStreetMap map shows where the shop delivers, and the budget cart includes delivery in the total.
A catalogue where you can find an apple
The range is split into seven categories and 42 subcategories, from bananas to preserved mushrooms. The fruit category had 139 products when we checked and can be sorted by recommendation or price. Search sits in the header of every page, discounted goods have their own listing, and the home page shows them in a scrolling strip with an add-to-cart button. Items go into the cart without reloading the page. Registration is optional; customers with an account get an order history and saved addresses.
Dark mode and phones
A switch in the top bar turns the shop to dark mode. On a phone the header shrinks to the menu, logo, search, account and cart, and both company routes, the budget and the enquiry, sit right below the heading.

How the shop is built
The shop runs on the Nette 3 PHP framework, the layout uses Bootstrap 5 and Vite builds the scripts and styles. Pages are rendered on the server, so search engines can read the catalogue and product pages without running JavaScript. Forms are protected against cross-site request forgery. The footer credits nks-hub.cz as the developer.
Who the shop is for
- An office that wants fruit for the team for a fixed amount: it enters a budget, adjusts the suggestion and orders.
- A clinic or a business running shifts: in the enquiry it agrees on delivery frequency and days, and pays by invoice.
- A restaurant that needs vegetables and herbs for the next day: it orders from the catalogue by 10:00.
- A household in Prague or within 10 km of its boundary: it shops as in any online store and knows the delivery price in advance.
Project status
The new version runs at the live address atojepecka.cz. The delivery configurator is marked as new on the website. The shop is in Czech only and delivers with its own vehicles in Prague and the surrounding area; some goods can be sent by courier after agreeing by phone.
