Serviska

Vehicle service book: what was replaced when, and when the STK (Czech roadworthiness test) expires. Reads receipts from a photo. Apps for Android and iOS.

Preview of Serviska

Serviska is a vehicle service book for the web, Android and iOS. A household with two cars plus a company car usually keeps track of deadlines in three places: in someone's head, in a calendar and in a drawer full of receipts. The STK (the Czech roadworthiness test) lapses because the registration certificate was left in the other car, and when the car is sold, its service history is pieced together from whatever papers did not get lost. Serviska keeps all of this in one place: services, refuelling, costs, documents and deadlines. It runs in the browser at app.serviska.eu and as an app for Android and iOS. According to the website footer it has been running since 2018.

A notebook or a spreadsheet warns nobody

A paper service book stays in the car and says nothing about an upcoming inspection. A spreadsheet reminds only whoever happens to open it, calculates fuel consumption only with a formula you write yourself, and gets shared with the family as an email attachment. Serviska calculates consumption from refuelling records on its own and tracks deadlines by date. It sends reminders by email, as phone notifications and also by SMS, which arrives even where the phone has no data connection.

What the driver gets

  • No need to type in the car by hand. After entering the licence plate or VIN, the make, model and STK date are filled in, and the app checks whether the motorway vignette is valid and whether the car is in the police database of stolen vehicles. Loading data from registers is part of the paid plans; in Free the details are entered by hand.
  • Nobody has to remember deadlines. Serviska tracks the STK, compulsory liability insurance, the motorway vignette and service intervals, and according to the App Store description also driving licence validity.
  • A photo of the receipt is enough. The mobile app reads the amount, litres and price per litre from the photo and creates a refuelling record. The odometer can be photographed the same way instead of typing in the mileage.
  • You see what the car really costs: consumption charts, costs for a chosen period, cost per kilometre by year and a comparison between vehicles.
  • A car can be shared with a partner, family or colleagues. Each person gets their own permissions, from read-only to full management of records.
  • Based on the car model it shows the manufacturer's recommended oils, fluids and maintenance intervals, so an oil change does not require looking things up in the manual.
  • Receipts, invoices and service documents are uploaded directly to the vehicle and are at hand when the car is sold.

Web and phone over the same data

The web application is written in PHP on the Nette framework. The mobile app is built with Flutter, so Android and iOS share one codebase. Data syncs between devices: refuelling recorded at the pump shows up on the computer shortly after. According to its Google Play description, the phone app has an offline mode and stores sensitive data encrypted.

On the web each car has its own detail page with tabs for the service book, maintenance, validity dates, refuelling and expenses. The maintenance plan for oil and gearbox shows the viscosity, quantity, interval in kilometres and months, and how much is left until the next change. The cost analysis breaks running costs down per kilometre for each year separately and shows how much went on fuel, servicing and everything else.

The mobile app's home screen is a garage with the vehicles and labels for upcoming deadlines; each car then has information, records, statistics and files. Widgets with the nearest deadlines can be added to the phone's home screen. For accidents the app has a screen with emergency numbers, rules on when to call the police, first steps at the scene and the details needed for an accident report. Each car also keeps a list of its drivers.

The website is in Czech and English; in the App Store the app lists Czech, English, German, Polish and Slovak.

Who it is for

  • A driver with one car: one vehicle is free for good in the Free plan, with a limit of 100 records, documents up to 20 MB and no reminders. After registration all features are enabled for 14 days, without entering a payment card.
  • A family with two cars where one person handles servicing and the other refuels. Sharing with permissions settles who may change what.
  • A company with a fleet: the Business plan covers ten vehicles, and Serviska prepares an offer for larger fleets. It tracks expired STKs and vignettes across all of the company's cars at once.
  • A car repair shop: the website lists management of customer vehicles, repair history and reminding customers of an upcoming service.
  • An owner of a classic or racing car who needs the car's history on record, for a sale and for themselves.

You can sign in with an email and password, with Google, with Apple or with a passkey. The account is protected by two-factor authentication via an authenticator app, an SMS code or a security key, and on the phone the app unlocks with a fingerprint or Face ID. The account shows a history of sign-ins and changes. Records and overviews can be exported at any time. Data is stored on servers in the EU and, according to the App Store description, is not sold to advertisers.

Project status

The web application has been running since 2018. The iOS app has been in the App Store since July 2026; the current version 1.1.28 was released on 27 October 2026 and requires iOS 17.6 or later. The Android app is on Google Play. Loading from registers, reminders and receipt recognition are only in the paid plans, so anyone who stays on Free enters car details by hand and tracks deadlines themselves. The app comes with a blog with car maintenance tips at blog.serviska.eu, which runs on the NKS Web content management system.
